Storm chase: Update 3:16pm

Two of our chasers are heading west from Harper, KS heading toward a storm that was previously tornado-warned east of Buffalo, OK. It appears the storm has crossed north of the cold front into more stable air. While the rotation is still strong, I think for now the tornado potential has diminished. Hail is certainly a concern though and we'll continue to watch it.

That storm coming out of the Buffalo, Oklahoma area did look pretty nasty. Had I known, I would have gone toward Milan and watched for the tornado. No warning either on it. Makes those people that don't pay attention to every storm feel a little weary...

Why wasn't a Tornado Warning issed for the storm at Milan. We live in the area and didn't know anything about it. The weather radio never sent an alert?
