Believe it or not, Wichita hit 98 degrees this afternoon. This is the warmest day we've experienced since August 8th, which is the last day we hit triples (104). In case you've forgotten, the number of triple-digit days in Wichita has been stuck at 34 for the last 3 weeks. Trust me, I haven't heard any complaints about that!
There were some spots in Kansas today that hit 100 (Colby, Smith Center, Hill City and Lawrence). McCook, Nebraska hit triples today too, the 37th time this summer, tying their record of 100 degree days in a year (current record: 1936).
