Nice rains this morning!

Map courtesy of CoCoRaHS.

I never thought I'd be so excited about puddles of water!  Wichita's Mid-Continent Airport is now up to 2.19" of rain since early Friday morning.  I've seen other 1-3" amounts around town and Sedgwick County, with around 2-3" commonplace across Reno County.  It appears the area south of Wichita along the Kansas/Oklahoma border hasn't seen nearly as much rain as everyone else, with the same sad story being told out in far western Kansas near the Kansas/Colorado border.

Thankfully, the upper level storm system is still near Hays this morning, so the lift provided by storm system and all of the moisture in the state will lead to more rain chances this afternoon.  I could easily see some spots picking up another 1-1.5", perhaps more in places.

Repeating: Kansas is NOT done yet with the rainfall!
