I made the comment in the weather center in the last month that we needed a storm to simply sit upstream of Cheney Reservoir and unleash a torrent of rain to fill the lake back up. Boy, have we gotten our wish! In the top graphic, the circled rain report is just over 6" near Pretty Prairie from the overnight and early morning hours! All that heavy rain has been draining downstream right into Cheney, raising the level by a foot today! (bottom graphic)
