Summer is bearing down

In case you were wondering, Summer officially begins tomorrow (Friday) at 12:04 a.m. CDT.

Looks like typical Summertime heat will stay with us--and intensify over the next several days.  Check out the forecast below of the upper level weather pattern (at roughly 18,000 feet) for next week.

Notice the big blue H (representing high pressure) that is forecast to expand into the Rockies by next Wednesday and Thursday.  This large high will keep the storm track well north of Kansas, meaning hot and dry weather should be the rule for last full week of June.
