Another interesting note about all this rain

You've heard us throw around a lot of rain statistics lately.  We did some additional research today and found this.
For the Summer of 2013 (and in our definition of Summer we're using the months of June, July and August) Wichita has had a total of 20.50" of rain, making it the third wettest Summer on record.  That's especially noteworthy given that we were over 3 inches below normal during the month of June.  And if you're wondering what Summer is in first place, that would be 2005, when Wichita had 23.61 inches of rain.

Of course, you probably heard that this month is the second wettest on record with 10.98 inches and we still have a week and a half to go.  July ended up as the fourth wettest on record with 7.69 inches.

Funny enough that's one thing we don't have around the state today!
