I hit the road early on this frigid Tuesday morning for a series of school talks in McPherson. I paid a visit to the Third graders at Washington, Roosevelt, Lincoln and Eisenhower Elementary. I have to hand it to all of the students: everyone was well-behaved, listened intently and asked a lot of weather questions. The icing on the cake took place on my way out of town when I stopped to grab lunch. A couple of people who saw me in line started a conversation and then thanked me for visiting their town. Kansas hospitality: you gotta love it. Thanks McPherson!
