Unlike many of the posts and stories on KWCH.com concerning the "Andover tornado", I wasn't here in Wichita at the time. I was a junior at KU and skipped out on a test that Friday afternoon to go chase storms.
It's so hard to believe that 20 years has passed. As I gave a weather safety talk this morning, I was reminded by the advances in technology that have improved our ability to keep us all safe (Doppler radar available anywhere, anytime; cell phones; the Internet; laptop computers).
